23.6 MEGA.mini: A Universal Generative AI Processor with a New Big/Little Core Architecture for NPU

We're looking for Highly Motivated Students

Grades during an undergraduate degree do not represent all your potential.

We're looking for students with a passion for research and students who do not fear learning new things.​

Our lab gives high priority to the students who have the following skills or conditions.

​

  1. Students who are interested in digital circuits, computer architecture, hardware-friendly algorithms, and AI.

  2. Students who do not fear learning new things.

  3. Students who are interested in the Integrated Ph. D program.

​​

If you have the following skills, it is useful to adapt in our laboratory. (Not necessary)

  1. Logic circuit, basics of digital circuit and systems.

  2. Computer architecture such as ISA, pipeline, and cache.

  3. AI knowledge (Deep learning) such as MLP, CNN, and transformer with PyTorch programming.

  4. Basic programming language for digital circuit design: C/C++, Python, Matlab, Verilog.

  5. FPGA programming and execution.

 

Usually, 1 student in the fall and 2 students in the spring are joined annually.

Graduate School Student Selection Process

   1. Student Selection Process for the Next Fall Semester and Intern Process (Usually Select 1 Student)

    (Students starting from September)

  - We prefer to select students who have intern experience in our lab.

  - Professor directly select a student based on student's ability during the intern. ​

  - You can apply as an intern for Summer/Winter semester.

  - We do not select new students as interns in Spring/Fall semester,

      but accept extension of the summer/winter internship period to be interns in Spring/Fall semester.

  - You can apply intern through direct email to the professor or course registration.​

   2. Student Selection Process for the Next Spring Semester (Usually Select 2 Students)

     (Students starting from March)

  - Until September, we receive applicants through email (to the professor).

  - In October, professor decides 1st candidates of the graduate students.

  - From end of October to November, 1st candidates of the graduate students will do lab seminar.

  - After lab seminar, professor determines final students based on student's ability during the lab seminar. ​

If you want to apply as intern or lab member please include followings during the email writing

  1. CV including picture, University, GPA, intern experience, research experience, project experience, skill set

  2. Transcript (Including all grades at the University)

  3. (Optional) Portfolio to describe your study & research ability

  4. You don't need to submit 'Research Plan'
